SiegMUN 2011

In November 2011 the University of Siegen arranges its own Model United Nations Conference for the second time. More than 200 students from other universities or schools came to Siegen to discuss exciting current political topics in different committees. The mayor of Siegen, Steffen Mues, the patron of the SiegMUN 2011 once  agaim and welcomed all delegates in the town hall.

A special guest was the former abassador Dr. jur. Dietrich von Kyaw who made a speech about "The growing role of international organizations in diplomacy".

During the four-day conference the participants discussed for exmaple about "The New Dynamics of  Multilateralism"  or "Afghanistan: Road(s) to Stability."
All committees presented their written resolution at the end of the conference and thereby proofed their political competence as representatives of the different countries.

We are looking forward to welcoming students at the next SiegMUN in November 2012.
