Welcome to SiegMUN 2011Honorable Delegates, Friends, Sponsors and Supporters of SiegMUN 2011!In the name of the SiegMUN 2011 Organizing Team and the members of Model UN Siegen, I warmly welcome you to the online presence of the second SiegMUN conference. Last year, the first SiegMUN was a bold experiment, since we had no experience in organizing a Model UN conference. However, we believe that as a Model UN site, Siegen needs a conference of its own as we are working to be a full member of the growing German Model UN family. The fact that SiegMUN 2010 became a great success gave us the motivation to organize a larger and better SiegMUN conference in 2011 and we hope that you will benefit from our experience and improvements. A special characteristic of SiegMUN is the fact that the Siegen conference is organized as both high school and university Model UN conference, anyway a beginner-friendly conference. For us, it is one main aim to interest young people in the big topic of Model UN, which includes not only international politics and diplomacy, but also debating, teamwork, public speech and English skills. We would like to express that Model UN is not only for future politicians but for everybody who wants to improve his or her group working techniques. I would be very pleased to see you at SiegMUN 2011 from November 8th to 11th. We hope that you find all information you need on our webpage.
