Dress Code

Taking part in SiegMUN requires a certain style of clothing. It is often referred to as Western Business attire. In general you should look professional, neat and modest. For men it is obligatory to wear a dark suit or slacks with a matching jacket (preferably black) with shirt (no T-Shirts), tie (if available), and dress shoes (no Chucks, no white sneakers, if you don't have dress shoes at least wear black sneakers). Women are obligated to wear a suit, a dress (knees have to be covered), slacks with blouse, or a skirt with a blouse (knees should still be covered). No matter what style you choose you have to combine your clothing with dress shoes (not open toed, no sandals, no sneakers). If you choose a dress or a skirt you have to wear appropriate stockings (no heavy colors, no prints, no heavy patterns). For both genders the following takes effect. No Jeans, no hats, no Jewelry! Participation Fee

Like the years before there will be no participation fee this year. Food and drinks have to be paid by you. There is the possibility to have lunch at the Mensa of the University. Coffee, mineral water and some small snacks are supplied by us free of charge.

Study and SiegMUN-Certificate

Every participant of SiegMUN will receive an official certificate of participation. In certain circumstances your participation is applicable to your study at the University of Siegen. If you want to earn credit points (only for students of University of Siegen), you have to participate at least 70 percent of the full conference. In addition you have to write a postion paper (1-2 pages) and register in LSF.
